Other than removing hair - Sugaring and Waxing are completely different!
1) Sugar paste is all natural, made of only water, sugar and lemon juice; whereas wax is synthetic made of resin, adhesive and mineral oils.
2) Wax is like duct tape, anything it sticks to it takes off - including the top layer of your skin. Whereas Sugar leaves your skin intact, and removes hair by seeping into the hair follicle and suctioning the hair out from the root.
3) Sugaring removes hair in the *natural* direction of growth, which means no follicular distortion (= less pain) and proper extraction (= less breakage + little-to-no ingrowns).

For best results, it should be the length of a grain of rice (around 1/8 to 1/4 inch). Long enough for the sugar to grab onto, short enough to keep things smooth and simple!
Unfortunately, we get this question all the time. We've heard horror stories of Brazilians lasting 90 minutes, super painful application and rude practitioners. What you can expect at your first visit with us is: a warm welcome, thorough consultation, we'll explain everything start to finish, a warm and soft Sugar paste, firm pressure after the flick, proper extraction, a positive conversation to distract you from the process, and your Brazilian will take 25 minutes or less.
A hill we're willing to die on is that when it comes to Sugaring *technique makes all the difference*, and ours is top notch. We hope you give Sugaring another shot with us!
Great question!
Exfoliate gently and moisturize 1-2 days before.
On the day of your appointment, make sure your skin is clean and free of lotions or oils. Skip or limit your caffeine intake. Dress comfy (loose, breathable fabric is key), and skip the leggings —trust us on this one!
Depending on the area we're Sugaring there's a range of skin reactions, but the most common is slight redness and some sensitivity which typically resolves within a few hours. We’ll send you off with aftercare tips to keep things smooth and happy.
Yes! We like to call it the “Three S’s”: No Sex, Sweat, or Sun for 24-48 hours. Your skin needs time to chill out, so take it easy and avoid irritants!
Most folks stay smooth for around 2-3 weeks before new hair starts to grow back. With regular sugaring, you may notice hair growing in finer and softer—bonus!
Sugaring is actually great for sensitive skin! It’s all-natural and less irritating than waxing. If you have specific skin concerns, let us know, and we’ll make sure to tailor the experience for you.
It really depends on what area but for the most part, we recommend every 4-6 weeks to keep things smooth and manageable. With consistent sugaring, your hair growth may slow down, and you’ll love the results even more!
Absolutely! We just ask that you use the complimentary wipe provided to ensure the area is clean and that you insert either a tampon or menstrual cup prior to the service.
